Aji Flor | C. baccatum | aji | red | Richard Nadeau of St-Pie-de-Guire, Quebec (QUE NA R) 12 / Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds | I suspect that the seeds I received are not true to type, as they produced very compact branching plants, 1.5-2' tall, unlike the tall and lanky plants of Cambuci pepper that I grew in 2012. Plants seem to be determinate, as each branch is terminating in flower/fruit. Fruits are small and flattened round cherry-type that ripen from dark green to beautiful chocolate brown. Little to almost no heat, great flavor. Look just like Chocolate Cherry (Pepper). | * This is Arawak-Spanish name for flower-shaped chili.

Manzano Red | C. pubescens | chili rocoto |
red | Pepper Gal 13 | (C. pubescens) It is a perennial pepper that is rather cold and rain tolerant. Plants grow to 6', can overwinter in mild climates and live for many years. Unusual black seeds that may not germinate very well, even if they are very fresh. It does not self-pollinate, so you need to grow at least 3-6 plants to ensure good cross-pollination.
