- The name means 'mother-in-law's tongue', and it is refers to a 'sharp' tongue of wife's mother, as it is often portrayed in Russian folklore and jokes.

- Среднеспелый высокоурожайный сорт, с обильным плодоношением, до 20–30 плодов на кусту. Куст высотой до 70 см, полураскидистый. Плоды удлиненно-конические, ярко красные при созревании, массой 40–50 г, сладкого вкуса. Толщина стенки 2–3 мм. Предназначен для цельноплодного консервирования, сушки и переработки на порошок. Оптимальная для прорастания семян температура почвы 25–27 С.
