B.C KO T
- Indet., regular leaf plants, large slightly flattened pink cherries with excellent sweet flavor.
- '2010 growout: Unfortunately all the plants were victims of late blight that came unexpectedly in early August. I managed to save only 1 fruit from one plant, fortunately it was pink and the same size as the previous generation. As the fruit was collected unripe, and ripened inside, I was not able to judge the flavor or collect many seeds.
Seed source:
- F3 seed (pink cherry): Denise Salmon, Vancouver, Canada (B.C SA D) / David Lemasters, Pennsylvania 07 / David Lieven of Belgium
Year grown: 2010(F4), 2011(crop failure, 0% germination)
Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)
History
- The best tasting sweet pink fruited line (#3) in the F4 generation of an intentional cross of Sungold X Mom's by David Lieven of Belgium. F3 seeds were provided by Denise Salmon of Vancouver, Canada in the fall 2008, and grown by Tatiana Kouchnareva (B.C KO T) in 2009. Named by Tatiana after her husband, Stanislav.
