History
- Developed and released by Tom Wagner of Tater Mater Seed, a US private tomato and potato breeder in Washington state. Introduced in 1983 in Tater Mater Seeds Catalog under the heading "T-1". Tom Wagner later named this tomato Schimmeig Stoo, which means 'Striped Cavern' in Manx language, as per Tom's maternal grandfather, Joe Kaighin.
