This Kentucky heirloom is from Barnes mountain in Estill county. Fruits are 1-3 pounds each with a sweet, low acid, old time flavor. Very prolific for such a large tomato. Beautiful deep golden color. Highly recommended. The photo shows catfacing from having hot weather during bloomtime.

  • A Kentucky heirloom from Barnes mountain in Estill county.
  • First listed in the Seed Savers 2001 Yearbook by Austin Isaacs of Berea, Kentucky (KY IS A2) under a misspelled name 'Baynes Mountain Yellow'). Austin Isaacs obtained the seed from Peggy Hisel of Berea, Kentucky, who got it from Russel Hurley of Barnes Mountain in Estill County, Kentucky.
