Ripening fruits may crack, if they get rained on. It's best to pick them at first color, or before a rain falls upon ripening fruits, and let them ripen off the vine. DTM: supposedly 60. Mine were fall started and fall finished in a Northern climate, so they had a slow start. The green stripes will turn gold, when it's fully ripe.

History

  • Russian commercial variety.
  • Introduced commercially in North America by Double Helix Farms in 2013 under its translated name, 'Siberian Tiger'.
  • Tatiana's note: We do not support names translation, as it leads to confusion and the same variety being offered under different names. Please always use the original variety name to avoid confusion and preserve variety's roots and history. All the translated names are considered to be 'marketing' names, and not actual variety names.

Russian name: Амурский тигр

The name means 'Amur Tiger', which is also called Siberian Tiger. It is a rare and beautiful tiger subspecies that inhabits mainly the Sikhote Alin mountain region.
