History

  • It is also known as Purple Brandy, Marizol Brandywine and Purple Brandywine.
  • This is a stabilized cross of Brandywine with Marizol Purple bred by Joe Bratka of New Jersey, probably in the late 1980s or early 1990s.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 1994 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C), who received seeds directly from Joe Bratka in 1992.
