History
- An old Burpee selection, available in the 1914 Burpee Seed Catalog, which says:
- "The "Earliest of All" Red Tomatoes,
- Sunnybrook Special produces a closer jointed and more compact vine, set quite as freely with fine smooth tomatoes which are usually ready to market five days earlier! The entire crop can be gathered generally in about three weeks from the time the first fruit ripens. Sunnybrook Earliana is undoubtedly the very best, earliest, scarlet fruited tomato. Gardeners who are seeking to have good smooth tomatoes "first on market" can find nothing equal. It is remarkable for its freedom from the rough fruits which southern growers call "cat-faced" tomatoes. It is a very prolific strain. Not only does the plant bear a large cluster as the crown set, but also produces a number of smaller clusters and single fruits on the side branches."
- PI 303710. Donated to USDA in 1965.
