Fruits are also variegated, when green. 2-3 oz red round fruits, perfectly shaped, with no cracking or blemishes, with greenish gel around the seeds that turns red when they are dead-ripe. * Originated in Europe (possibly Ireland) … * Originated in Europe (possibly Ireland) and has been grown in England and Western Europe for several years.
* First offered in the Seed Savers 2005 Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C), plants labeled as [[Splash of Cream]] from Greg Speichert, Indiana. Mr. Speichert received seeds from Ed Rasmussen, who got it from France.
* Carolyn Male researched this tomato's origins, and discovered that the French person had received seeds named 'Variegated' but had changed the name to [[Splash of Cream]], so the real name should be [[Variegated]]. so the real name should be [[Variegated]].
