History

* A family heirloom from Turkey, Gölbaşı, … * A family heirloom from Turkey, Gölbaşı, Adıyaman. Jennifer Ibarra of Milford, Connecticut got seeds from one of her student's parents. They brought it with them from Turkey where they and their parents grew it for many years. The family did not have a name for the tomato, and they did not want their last name used publicly, but they did not mind to use their daughter’s name Ayla to name the tomato. Jennifer called it 'Turkish Ayla'.
* Introduced commercially in North America by [[:Category:Tomato Seeds|Tatiana's TOMATObase Seeds]] in 2015. s|Tatiana's TOMATObase Seeds]] in 2015.
