* Jeffrey Casey, the owner of [[Vendor::Casey's Heirloom Tomatoes of Airdrie|'' '']] [[Casey's Heirloom Tomatoes of Airdrie]] '' '', received the seed in 2008 from Frances Machum of Alberta, Canada, who, in turn, obtained it from the proprietor, Bob Ponting, of a cafe in Hays, Alberta. As the name of this variety has since been long lost, Frances Machum named it after the city of Hays.
