History

* It is NOT an authentic Russian variety.
… * It is NOT an authentic Russian variety.
* There are two Russian commercial varieties, [[Korol Sibiri]] and [[Zolotoy Korol]]. Both varieties were sent to [[Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds]] by Valery Popenko, a seed vendor from Kazakhstan. [[Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds]] grew both varieties and found them to be similar, likely because the translated names were quite similar, or there was some misunderstanding because of the language barrier. In 2010 [[Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds]] offered the seeds under a new name, which was a combination of their translated names - 'King of Siberia' and 'Golden King'.
* It is now hard to say which one of the two Russian varieties was commercially offered [[Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds]] . It is possible that it could also have been a mix of the two.
* Valery Popenko contacted Tatiana in February 2013 to clarify the story of the tomato, and the above was written based on the details he provided. written based on the details he provided.
