History

  • Russian commercial variety, introduced to North America by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus in the early 2000s as Plum Tigris.

Russian name: Сливовидный Полосатый (Slivovidnyi Polosatyi)

the name means "Striped Plum" in Russian, and it was incorrectly translated as 'Plum Tigris'.
