Indet., but compact plants with very large trusses of flowers and fruits, although not at large at multiflora type. Red juicy cherries with very good sweet flavor. We got two different types from the original seed - one was round cherry, and the other was oval or almost pear-shaped. From Alan Kapuler's description it was not obvious which one was correct, and Google search for this tomato shows both fruit types. We are offering the seeds from oval-shaped fruits.

History

  • Bred by Dr. Alan Kapuler of Peace Seeds in Corvallis, Oregon from Kusra Kapuler's cross of Lycopersicon humboldtii (obtained from a SSE member Rosemarie LaCherez in Australia, the grape tress tomato with yellow-orange 0.5" fruits) with L. hirsutum which has red fruits, clusters of open yellow flowers and fuzzy stems.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2006 Yearbook by Dr. Alan Kapuler of Peace Seeds in Corvallis, Oregon (OR KA A).
  • Introduced commercially by Casey's Heirloom Tomatoes of Airdrie in 2012.
