Indet., potato leaf plants, large beefsteak fruits, purple on the outside and green with purple marbling inside. Excellent strong fruity flavor. 8-14 oz.

2 out of 4 seedlings grown were potato leaf, and 2 were regular leaf.

I got all potato leaf seedlings from my seeds saved in 2011.

History

• Original seeds from Todd Coleman of Sandusky, Ohio, who stabilized it over 4 years and shared it with Al Anderson of Troy, Ohio (OH AN A). Al described it as a regular leaf variety.
• First introduced in Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois (IL LO N) , who received the seed from Al Anderson of Troy, Ohio. Neil listed it as potato leaf, and it is not clear if this variety is still unstable, or a seed mix-up happened in the seed exchanges, or Al Anderson made a mistake when describing it as regular leaf.
• Tatiana's note: I grew this variety from 2005 seed obtained from Al Anderson, and got 50% split between regular leaf and potato leaf seedlings. Therefore I am making an assumption that this variety should be potato leaf, and it was likely not entirely stable when Al Anderson shared the seeds around.
