(Capsicum annuum). Plants are vigorous and very productive and quite hardy, withstanding low temperatures here in PNW way into October. Fruits are dark green when immature, turning brown when fully mature. They are 5-7" long and about 1" in diameter. The flavor is mildly hot and spicy, getting more heat when fully mature. This pepper is usually dried and used for smoky flavored sauces.
