History
- Russian origin, from Inst. of Hort., Barnaul, Altai, Siberia. The original Russian name is unknown/lost; it was probably named by Bill McDorman of Hailey, Idaho who collected the seeds in Russia.
- Introduced commercially by Seeds Trust/High Altitude Gardens in the early 90s.
- First offered in the Seed Savers 1998 Yearbook by Chuck Wyatt of Baltimore, Maryland (MD WY C) and Bill McDorman of Hailey, Idaho (ID MC B).
