Tatiana Kouchnareva (B.C KO T). Kozula 139 Striped Green F4, Plant C - sliced fruit. 2013-10-05.

B.C KO T

Indet., regular leaf, somewhat wispy appearance. None of the plants produced green-when-ripe fruits, but there were some interesting discoveries. Lines B and C are worth further exploring.
Plant A
yellow plums, no stripes, ~1 oz, just ok.
Plant B
small pear/plum shaped, yellow with pink stripes, ~2 oz, excellent strong flavor. Grow again!
Plant C
pear/plum, but more like plum, with darker red/pink stripes, bi-colored inside, very good!
Plant D
bi-color, larger fruits, more oval than round, just OK.

History

  • The original cross was made by Anna Kozula, a well-known tomato breeder in Poland. F4 seeds were distributed to North American gardeners in 2010. Parentage was not disclosed, but it is likely that one of the parents was Copia tomato.
  • See [1] for the original F4 pictures.
  • For more information about Anna Kozula's crosses, see this thread at Tomatoville forum and Kozula thread at The Tomato Garden forum.
