- 70-80 days, indet., regular leaf droopy foliage, moderate production of excellent tasting 12-18 oz lovely red hearts. Mid season for me, although my source (Big Red) indicated they were early for him (60 days) when he grew this variety in '07.

- Horace "Big Red" Boynton Jr. of Bethelridge, Kentucky, bought 4 plants at a local nursery in the spring of 2007 that were labeled 'Indiana Red'. He was unable to find out any further information or history on the variety.
- Introduced in the Seed Savers Yearbook in 2008.
