Butterhead lettuce with bronze-tinged leaves and large, loose heads. Very good heat tolerance, slower to bolt than most of the other lettuce varieties. Gray seed.

History

• A family heirloom from the USA, from Mrs. Chloe Lowry's family. It is named after her grandfather, George Admire, who was a Civil War veteran.
• In 1977, 90-year-old Chloe Lowry gave this family heirloom to Seed Savers Exchange.
