History

  • Seeds were given to Bill Yoder of Canton, Georgia by a gentleman in 2010. He obtained it from a very old lady in western North Carolina. She grew the tomato for many decades and called it Cherokee Black.
  • Bill Yoder described it as "a darker version of a Cherokee Purple but without the green shoulders. The flavor is great and the production is outstanding. Much better than Cherokee Purple". Fruit have a nipple on the bottom.
