CA MC M

Regular leaf, indet. 3-8 oz. black, green-shouldered fruit with very good flavor and excellent production. All 3 plants at our San Diego trial garden were consistent, but our Sacramento trial garden had one plant with off-colored fruit, so may not be completely stable. It will be interesting to see how this performs in the PNW maritime climate.

History:

  • Bred by Tom Wagner, a tomato and potato breeder from Washington state, the founder of Tater Mater Seed, by back crossing Black Brandywine strains to obtain PNW adapted black fruited small 'Brandywines' with flavor in the cool maritime climate.
