Compact, cold-hardy butterhead, outer parts of leaves are medium green brushed with bronze, interior is light green to creamy in color. Listed in SSE Yearbook as a heading variety but with very loose open heads, it’s really more like a looseleaf variety. Overwinters well in north if not too bitter cold and good in cold frames and greenhouses in cold weather. Light gray seed.
