History

• An heirloom from Black Mountain area in Harlan County, Kentucky. It was found at an abandoned homestead in the fall of 1993.
• First offered in the Seed Savers 2001 Yearbook by Austin Isaacs of Berea, Kentucky (KY IS A2), who got the seeds from a flea market in London, Kentucky.
