History
- Russian origin (original Russian name is "Chyornyi Slon", which means 'Black Elephant' in Russian)
- According to Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus, this variety should be potato leaf, but many SSE members offer a regular leafed version which seems to be originated from John Hanna of Moscow, Idaho.

- "Крупноплодный салатный сорт среднераннего срока созревания. Растение высотой 1,2-1,6 м с плодами необычной окраски и оригинального вкуса, массой свыше 200 г. Выращивать в один стебель с пасынкованием и подвязкой к опоре. Урожайность свыше 1,5 кг/растение. Рекомендуется для теплиц и укрытий, открытого грунта (южные регионы)."
