History

The seed for this variety was obtained by Douglas Wallace of Minnesota from a local Amish woman in the late 90s/early 2000s, along with Amish Potato Leaf seeds. These tomatoes came with the generic names "German Non-acid" and "Non-acid", and were named by Douglas (it is unclear which became which).
This variety may be of German origin. No history was provided by the Amish family.
Introduced in Seed Saver Yearbook by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C).
Seeds are available commercially from Tomato Growers Supply as of spring 2008.
