Indet. plants with wispy regular leaf foliage. Large red fat plum-shaped fruits with a tip at the blossom end, meaty and juicy flesh, 5-8 oz. Delicious rich flavor. Good yields. Great salad tomato. (20 seeds / packet)

History

  • Family heirloom that originated from Matt Moors, Pennsylvania, whose grandfather brought the seed to the US around 1900 from Rome, Italy. This tomato had been grown in the Philadelphia area by Matt's grandfather for many years and, according to Matt, it was in great demand by high end hotels and restaurants.
  • Introduced by Carolyn Male of Salem, New York in 2005, who obtained seed from Matt Moors, Pennsylvania.
