History

  • Seeds originated from Dan and Val McMurray of Wynndel, British Columbia, Canada (B.C MC D) in 2005, and unfortunately it is now impossible to tell where Val and Dan acquired them from, as they exchanged seeds with many folks all over the world. The label on the seed packet that Tatiana Kouchnareva (B.C KO T) received from Val said Berkshire Polish, but it obviously was not, producing huge pink beefsteaks when Tatiana grew them in 2012.
  • Tatiana labelled it 'Berkshire Polish Beefsteak' to differentiate from Berkshire Polish which is a red plum.
