History
- Bred by Keith Mueller of Kansas City, Missouri.
- SunGold F1 selfed and isolated to F6 generation.
- F1 sole SunGold F1 plant was planted for a customer along a fence.
- F2 Seedlings came back volunteer along fence of a common area behind houses. Oranges and one "white" produced. Oranges were removed.
- Further generations have always produce only "white". Now spread by birds to other yards.
- Foliage no longer has the strong SunGold odor in the F6 stage.
