History
- Slovenian heirloom, grown in one family for at least 40 years.
- Seeds were collected by a Slovenian tomato seed collector, Primož Vehovec near Trška Gora, which is a settlement in the hills to the north of Novo Mesto in southeastern Slovenia, where grapes are traditionally grown. Primož Vehovec got the seeds from a man who had been growing this tomato for 10+ years after he father passed away. The man's father grew this tomato for 30+ years the same location in vineyard. Nobody remembers when this tomato started to be grown in the area or where it originally came from.
- Named by Primož Vehovec after the place where it was grown and discovered.
