Talk:Toedebusch Pink
I am Evelyn Toedebusch's daughter and appreciate the effort to register this tomato. Mom is very modest about her gardening abilities. She has been very determined to continue the growth of this tomato and pass it down through the family. I have been entrusted with the growing of this tomato, passing it along to others who also enjoy its flavor and size. She always emphasized growing this plant separate from other varieties of tomato to ensure true pollination. It has been the sole tomato grown in our garden for many years. The size and meatiness of the fruit make it excellent for sandwiches, and sauces made from it enhance any dish. While the length of time to ripen is longer than most varieties, the wait is well worth it. This tomato will grow and mature until frost and green tomatoes harvested in the fall will ripen for additional eating after frost.
My thanks to Kevin Jerome for passing this along to his colleague.
