History

  • Russian origin.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2000 Yearbook by Åke Truedsson of Klagshamn, Sweden (SWED TR A).
  • SSE TOMATO 5356.

Russian name: Сибиряк

The name means 'Person who lives in Siberia' in Russian. I was unable to find a Russian tomato with this name, perhaps it was not a common commercial variety, or the name was unintentionally modified by seed savers.
