History

  • A possible accidental cross of Cascara Rendidora with unknown yellow or bi-color tomato, or a seed mix-up. Discovered by Tatiana Kouchnareva (B.C KO T) in 2007 when she grew Cascara Rendidora seeds from Denise Salmon, BC, who in turn, received the seeds from John Smarsz.
  • Tatiana named this variety 'Sakhara', as it sounds close enough but still different from 'Cascara', and reflects the fruit coloring.
  • This variety may not be stable yet.
