- Plants are regular leafed and indeterminate. In a field planting (n=24) both shape and size were not consistent within the variety. 6-12 oz fruits depending on the plant. Rounded fruits to rough shouldered beefsteaks. There were minor variations in leaf margin edges, leaflet size and leaflet arrangement between plants. Some anthocyanin present in leaf midribs even during heat. Fruit color, overall plant habit appeared to be stable. ~80-85 days
- Unattractive orange fleshed fruit with some purple on shoulders. Purple coloration depends on exposure to light, temperature (low temps more prominent) and wounding. Fruits are meaty and most fruit shapes produced few seeds. Flavor is fairly good when grown using dryland techniques.
- Grocery stores would not accept fruits for sale based on appearance.
