- Named after the world renowned Skarure Haudenosaunee blues musician, Pura Fe the tomato is a large midseason yellow and red bicolor, that is heavy on the red side. The flavor is excellent, a mixture of sweet and fruity to the deepest old fashioned tomato taste you would expect from a red beefsteak. The disease resistant potato leaf vines grow out until frost to lengths around 9 feet and produce abundantly. The original line was de-hybridized without use of irrigation, so you can be sure that these are hardy especially for the large size. I am happy to say this is my new favorite yellow bicolor beefsteak. Although Pura Fe looks much like german bicolor tomatoes common to the US, there is actually no direct relation.
