Tall indet. plants with regular leaf foliage. Large pink fruits, ribbed and ruffled, shaped like something in between a beefsteak and a blunt heart. 8-16 oz. Mild flavor.

80 days, indet., regular leaf, very large fruits to 3 lbs, original seed said to have come from 4.5 lb fruit, from M. Johnson, Loule Market, northern Portugal 2006.

History

  • Seed collected by Michael Johnson of Wollaton, Nottingham UK, from a 4.5 lb tomato bought at Loule Market, northern Portugal in 2006. Michael shared the seed with his gardening friends at Tomatoville in 2007 as 'Portuguese Monster'.
  • First introduced to SSE in 2008 by Al Anderson of OH (OH AN A) and Michael Gunn of TX (TX GU R).
