- An heirloom variety from Italy. Grown at Hortus Botanicus, Padua, Italy.
- First offered in the Seed Savers 2011 Yearbook by William Woys Weaver of Paoli, Pennsylvania (PA WE W), who obtained the seed from Hortus Botanicus, Padua, Italy, accessioned 1553.
