History

  • An heirloom winter squash variety that was very popular among American Pioneer families in the 19th century.
  • PI 518678. Collected near Fitchville, Huron County, New York in 1984.
  • USDA description:
Local type. Peduncle tan, corky. Fruit pink, smooth and unmarked with a light green zone at flower end. Seeds deep tan.
