History

  • This tomato was found in a French garden of an old lady [Madame Jardel?] by a tourist in the early-or mid 2000s. Madame Jardel had grown them for many years but had no name for them. The tourist got a few tomatoes from Madame Jardel, saved the seeds, then grew it and shared seeds with Heritage Seed Library (HSL) in United Kingdom.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2013 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois (IL LO N), seeds from Carolyn Male of Salem, New York (NY MA C) in 2012.
