History

  • An heirloom tomato from Quebec, Canada.
  • In 1995, a carpenter renovating an old house abandoned by her owner in St. Joseph de Beauce found about 200 unlabelled tomato seeds in the basement. Nobody lived in the house for more than 30 years, and according to the neighbors, there was no garden there for at least 60 years. The seeds were given to Gérard Parent, who managed to germinated only 3 seeds.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Donald C. Kellums of Port Byron, Illinois (IL KE D).
