History

  • SSE Accession: TOMATO/PINK-PURPLE 5497.
  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2002 Yearbook by Scott Benson, Medina, New York (NY BE S), no seed origin mentioned.
  • Tatiana's note: I suspect this variety could have been translated as 'Lilac Giant' by Andrey Baranovsky, who sometimes used 'lilac' or 'raspberry' as a synonym for 'pink'. However, I have no confirmation or proof.
