- Regular leaf plant. Mid season. Fruit generally 2-3oz. Low to medium production. Very mild flavor. Beautiful apricot color. Close to an orange (tangerine gene t) but more similar in carotenoid content to a yellow fleshed fruit. Tinge of red is more apparent in ripe fruit.

History
- Contains flesh mutant apricot gene at. Flesh of ripe fruit yellow with pinkish blush; carotenoid content similar to yellow fruit r/r; corolla pale yellow, nearly white. Gene originally identified in a Mexican strain. LA2998 is at in a Rutgers background donated from Purdue University to The Tomato Genetics Resource Center.
