Indet., sprawling and lanky plants with wispy regular foliage. Fruits are red, large, and irregularly shaped, from fat plums to double hearts. 6-14 oz. Excellent balanced flavor, with a perfect acidic touch, meaty flesh with small seed chambers and few seeds. Midseason. (20 seeds / packet)

History

  • Seed acquired from a Service Man who spent time in Australia before coming home after serving in World War II. This tomato have been grown through the years by the Thieneman family in Louisville, Kentucky, and therefore can be considered as a Kentucky heirloom.
  • First introduced in Seed Savers 2007 Yearbook by Neil Lockhart of Oblong, Illinois (IL LO N), who got seeds from Roger Postley, Lexington, Kentucky.
