History

  • First offered in the Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Nathalie Antaya of Saint-Robert, Quebec, Canada (QUE AN N), who got seeds from Manfred Hartmann in Germany.
  • It traces back to BELR BA A (Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus), who sent seeds to Reinhard Kraft, Neukirchen, Germany in the early 2000s. Andrey said that he did not grow this variety himself, but shared the seeds he got in a seed trade. Reinhard Kraft and other growers observed both regular and potato leaf plants, therefore the original seed was likely crossed.

Also known as

  • Japan Tomato Tree, which was first offered in the Seed Savers 2002 Yearbook by Scott Benson, Medina, New York (NY BE S), no seed source given.
