History

  • Originated in Germany. This tomato variety had been grown for 20-25 years in Iowa and passed on to relatives by the Navarre family in Madison, Wisconsin. Helen Navarre shared the seed with Sue Gronholz of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin (WI GR S), who introduced it in the Seed Savers 1997 Yearbook.
