History

  • A.k.a. 'Rayskoe Naslazhdenie' (original Russian name)
  • A Moldovan variety, bred by Transdniestrian (=Pridnestrovskiy) Research Institute of Agriculture in Tiraspol, Moldova. Adapted for growing in the Ukraine, Moldova, and Russia.
  • First introduced in Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Nancy Kirch of Binghamton, New York, who received the seeds from Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus (BELR BA A) via Carolyn Male of Salem, New York in 2008.

Russian name: Райское наслаждение.

The name means 'Heavenly Delight' or 'Heavenly Pleasure'.
