2009 growout, F1 : Some subtle variations in leaf shapes, 1 potato leaf seedling (which was discarded) and 5 regular leaf seedlings. Plants are indeterminate but compact, very similar to the parent, Grub's Mystery Green. Green medium size beefsteak type fruits that are indistinguishable from Grub's Mystery Green, with excellent taste, and it was one of the earliest among the other green-when-ripe varieties grown in 2009.
2010 growout, F2: 9 regular leaf and 6 potato leaf seedlings, all planted. Compact indet. plants with medium sized green-when ripe beefsteaks, excellent flavor and texture. Very similar to Grub's Mystery Green, I cannot tell them apart. Quite early - ripened in early August 2010 in the open ground, and 2010 was not a great tomato year. I am suspecting that the cross did not take and perhaps Rob Gee was working with not fully stable version of Grub's Mystery Green?
