Seed source:

Julien Schmit, Nancy, France 09 / Eric Pedebas, France 07

Year grown: 2009, 2014

Location: Zone 7b, PNW, Anmore, BC, Canada (760 ft above sea level)

History

  • Discovered by Andrey Baranovsky, Belarus (BELR BA A) while growing out Copia tomato from the seed he received from John Hanna of Moscow, Idaho in 2004-2005. Andrey only grew two plants but both came up with identical green-when-ripe striped fruit. The consequent growouts by hobby tomato gardeners seem to show that it mostly breeds true to type, however, it may not be 100% stable, as I got 2 plants which produced yellow fruits with red/pink stripes, similar to the parent Copia.
  • Likely a segregation or mutation of Copia.
  • First offered in Seed Savers 2009 Yearbook by Andrey Baranovski of Minsk, Belarus (BELR BA A).
