Very early seed production usually within 60 days, and decently tender pods with anthocyanin stripes when mature. Medium height vines are good for corn. Highly productive. High quality "pinto" type. This is the earliest Onodowaga bean I have ever grown.

History

  • Onodowaga Haudenosaunee (Seneca Iroquois) pinto bean, one of the oldest beans of the northeast going back millennia.
  • Originates from the Cornplanter tract within Pennsylvania, the land where the original Allegheny (Ohi:yo) reservation was until the land was destroyed illegally through the construction of the Kinzua dam in 1971, leading to a forced relocation of the people over 2 generations.
