• Old Italian commercial heirloom dating back to 1928.
• The original name in 1928 seed catalog was Ficcarazi.
• United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), PI 237131. Donated to the USDA in 1957 from Italy.
• USDA narrative:

"Plant to 2.5 feet; foliage vigorous; fruits much furrowed, flattened, to 6 per cluster, dark red. "

• It has been listed in SSE Yearbooks since the 1980s. SSE TOMATO 934.
